# Organizations

> Understand your organization in WorldVisa Console, switch between memberships, and find the settings and team access that belong to each organization.

Your organization is the workspace you are working in within WorldVisa Console. Check its name in the sidebar before editing workflows, connecting a provider, or inviting a colleague, especially if your account belongs to more than one organization.

## How organizations fit together

An organization brings together its staff, teams, settings, and notification resources. Environments let you work with separate sets of notification resources within that organization.

```
| Level | What you choose |
| - | - |
| Account | The identity you use to sign in. |
| Organization | The organization you are working in. |
| Environment | The notification environment you are working with inside that organization. |
| Team | A working group of staff within the organization. |
Selecting an environment does not change your organization membership or staff role. Adding someone to a team also does not give them a new staff role.
## Switch organizations
**1. Open the organization menu**
Select the organization name and logo at the top of the Console sidebar.
**2. Choose a membership**
Select the organization you want to work in from the list. The menu lists organizations your account belongs to.
**3. Confirm your context**
Wait for the switch to finish, then check the organization name and selected environment before continuing.
> [!TIP]
>
> If the organization you need is not listed, ask an authorized colleague to check your invitation and membership. Creating another organization will not give you access to an existing one.
## Create an organization
The organization menu includes **Create organization**. When you are responsible for setting up a separate organization, use that option and complete the organization setup. You can also select an existing membership from the organization selection screen.
Organization setup continues through onboarding after you create or select an organization. For everyday work in WorldVisa, use the organization your team has already provided.
## Organization settings
Open **Settings > Organization** to manage the organization profile using the controls available there. This tab appears when you have organization settings write permission.
With the standard role permissions, **Director**, **Developer**, and **Branch Manager** can manage organization settings. Console itself requires Console access, so having organization management permission in another portal does not automatically let you open Console.
## Give colleagues access
Use **Settings > Team** to send staff invitations when you have invitation permission. Choose a role that matches the person's responsibilities. Access is tied to the organization and the staff permissions assigned there.
For people already working in your organization, use the **Staffs** and **Teams** areas, where your permissions allow, to maintain staff details and working teams.
