# Authentication

> Sign in to WorldVisa Console through an invitation, choose your organization, and understand how your staff role controls the access you receive.

WorldVisa Console is invitation only. Ask an authorized colleague to invite you using your work email, then complete the invitation before signing in. Having a WorldVisa account does not automatically give you access to Console or every portal.

## Sign in for the first time

**1. Ask for an invitation**

Share your work email with the person managing access for your organization. They choose a staff role when sending the invitation. For Console work, ask them to check that your assigned roles include Console access.

**2. Open your invitation email**

Follow the invitation link and complete the account setup shown there. Use the email address that received the invitation so your account can be connected to the correct staff record.

**3. Open WorldVisa Console**

Sign in with your invited account. The Console sign-in page has no public sign-up option. If you already completed an invitation through another WorldVisa portal, use that same account.

**4. Check your organization**

Confirm the organization shown in the sidebar before working on workflows or integrations. If you belong to several organizations, select the one you intend to work in.

## Access after sign-in

Signing in confirms your identity. Your organization membership and staff roles determine what you can open and change.

| Requirement | What it means for you |
| - | - |
| Accepted invitation | A pending invitation is not an active staff account. Complete the invitation first. |
| Active staff account | Suspended or disabled accounts cannot use the staff APIs. Ask your administrator to review your account status. |
| Organization membership | Work in an organization you have been given access to. |
| Console permission | Director and Developer roles include Console access. Other staff roles may use their own portals without access to Console. |

A secondary role can add permissions to your primary role. Read [Team and members](https://docs.worldvisagroup.com/developers/account/team-and-members.md#primary-and-secondary-roles) before requesting additional access.

## Account and security settings

Open **Settings > Account** to view your account settings and the **Security** section. Use the controls available for your account to manage your sign-in details and security settings.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Sign-in options depend on the authentication configuration for your WorldVisa deployment. Follow the options shown on your sign-in screen.

## If you cannot get in

> [accordion] I have not received an invitation
>
> Ask the sender to check your email address and the pending invitation. Check your inbox and spam folder. If the email address was wrong, the sender can revoke that invitation and send a new one to the correct address.

> [accordion] My invitation link no longer works
>
> Ask the person who invited you to review the pending invitation and send a new invitation if needed. Do not create a second staff record with a different email to work around the problem.

> [accordion] I can sign in, but Console is unavailable
>
> Ask an authorized administrator to check your primary and secondary roles. Access to CRM, DMS, Finance, or Marketing does not by itself grant Console access.

> [accordion] My organization is missing
>
> Confirm that you signed in with the invited email and completed the invitation. Ask your administrator to check your membership in the intended organization.
